Notes:
  • Duryodhana was stressed when he found out that the Pandavas were still alive.
    • Bhishma and Vidura encourages Dhritarashtra to make peace.
    • Karna denounces both as traiters and urges for war.
    • He invites the Pandavas back to Hastinapura and gave them parts of his kingdom.
    • The Pandavas build a magnificent city called Indraprastha.
  • Yudhishthira is crowned as king at Indraprastha.
    • Maya was saved from the fire.
    • The Pandavas laugh at Duryodhana when he was fulled with the illusions in the hall.
  • Vyasa comes to visit the Pandavas & wants to warn them about the bad omens.
    • Dhritarashtra agrees to build a great assembly hall, the Crystal Palace, to rival the hall of the Pandavas.
  • Shakuni is going to play in the dice game in Duryodhana's place.
    • Yudhishthira loses everything he owns.
    • Vidura urges Dhritarashtra to put a stop to the dice game, but the game still continues.
    • Yudhishthira then gambles away his brothers and then himself.
    • Duhshasana drags Draupadi by the hair into the assembly hall and Draupadi protests loudly.
    • She was then told to take off her clothes and she began to close her eyes and calla on Krishna for help.
  • Bhima swears to get revenge on Duryodhana.
    • Draupadi was granted for a wish and she asks that Yudhishthira to be set free.
    • she was granted for another wish and she wished for all her four husbands to be set free.
    • She declined for the third wish.
  • Duryodhana was furious and urges his father to invite them back for a second match and his father sent the invitation and Yudhishthira accepts it.
    • Yudhishthira looses and the Pandavas go into exile.
    • The Pandavas went to the Ganga river.
    • Yudhishthira prays to Surya, the Sun God who gave him a copper bowl and an endless supply of food.
    • The Pandavas live with hermits in the wilderness. 
  • Krishna promises them that Duryodhana and his allies will be punished.
    • Arjuna went to the Vindhya mountains to meditate and gets the weapon Pashupata from the god Shiva. 
    • Amaravati, the heavenly city of Indra.
    • Urvashi fell in love with Arjuna, but rejects her.
    • Urvashi curses Arjuna to live among women as a eunuch.
    • The curse was a blessing for her later on.
    • Arjuna rejoins the Pandavas after five years and were delighted to learn about the weapons that have been acquired.
